This is a 2 v. 2 debate. Fated Xtasy and I will be representing Ferus Olin, a Jedi turned rogue and Asajj Ventress, an agent of Dooku turned bounty hunter, respectively. Emperordmb and Wildbantha88 will be representing Raskta Lsu, an extremely skillful Sith slayer and Jax Pavan, a heroic Jedi survivor of Order 66, respectively. Battle takes place on Yavin IV.

Hola, folks. This is just going to introduce you to our amazing Nightsister Asajj Ventress so y’all are more familiar with her. Ventress in this battle will obviously be spending most of the time duking it out with Raskta Lsu, which in my opinion lead to her inevitable victory for several reasons: She is a more skilled lightsaber duelist, she has a pretty large Force advantage she could call upon at any point in the duel, she is extremely tactical in the way she fights which may give her an advantage, and she’s an extremely skilled unarmed combatant.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lightsaber Skill:

Even though Raskta is renowned for being an amazingly skilled duelist, I feel like Ventress is still better. She’s gone toe-to-toe with some of the most skilled duelists in the Order; Anakin, Obi-Wan, Kit Fisto, Mace Windu, etc. Mace Windu, who is quoted to be second only to Yoda in lightsaber skill, has been said to have used all his skills to defeat her:

“Mace Windu had to use all his skills to defeat the dark side fighter Asajj Ventress.”

Even Darth Sidious is impressed with her skill with the blade, before she had any training from Count Dooku:

“The child's skills with a lightsaber are most impressive. You have found a promising disciple, my apprentice. She shall serve us well.”

Ventress is so skilled that she could easily outfence the former Padawan of a renowned duelist Sora Bulq, Mira:

She could also easily take on three Jedi simultaneously while verbally berating them with ease:

Ventress is also capable of holding her own against Luminara Unduli and Ahsoka Tano. This is especially impressive considering Luminara’s specialty with working extremely well with allies, and Ahsoka’s species -- Togruta -- being very well suited with working with others in a high-speed duel.

"Her lightsaber skills were impressive. In battle, her movements were focused and precise, flowing from one to the other. All Jedi are my brothers and sisters, but only with a few, like Luminara Unduli, do you intuitively mesh."  -- Quinlan Vos

“Through many years of practice, Luminara has increased her joints’ flexibility to easily allow extreme lightsaber moves that are impossible for ordinary humanoids.” -- The Complete Visual Dictionary

Togruta’s Montrals have a passive sense of echolocation which allow to sense the proximity of objects and movements, and Togruta are biologically adapted to fight in large crowds, so Ahsoka fighting side-by-side with Luminara on a relatively thin catwalk wouldn’t be a struggle at all, and would allow for amazing synergy. So Ventress holding her own against them is good proof she could defend against high speed attacks and enemies working perfectly in concert with each other.

Ventress chokes Obi-Wan and Anakin simultaneously and Force pushes Anakin in this duel:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tactics/Physicality/Unarmed Skill:

Ventress is an extremely tactical fighter, and uses the environment to her advantage a lot. She uses well-timed ambushes to give her an early advantage and knows the perfect times to retreat, use the Force and advance on her foes. She is also an incredibly fast, durable martial artist as well.

She retreats from her foes and takes advantage of her environment, throwing rubble at Luminara and Ahsoka. 3:14 - 3:20

Ventress familiarizes herself with her surrounding and ambushes Luminara to give her an early advantage in their duel. 0:00  0:07

Uses very precise timing to throw a bomb at Ahsoka. 3:27 - 3:35

Ventress shows exceptional speed and strength, and also shows proficiency with Nightbrother weapons. She easily is capable of fighting 6 highly trained Nightbrother warriors that were trained since birth to fight. She is actually unimpressed with them.

Ventress uses the darkness to hide herself, and shows exceptional speed. She taunts the Nightbrothers to unnerve them, an intelligent tactic.

Beats the shit out of Feral and Savage, and tanks punches from Savage. Should be noted that he can shatter stone, so that’s an incredible durability feat for Ventress.

Ventress tanks punches from post-transformation Savage to the stomach and back. She also kicks DARTH FUCKING MAUL aka THE MASTER OF KICKS in the face twice. She also tricks Savage and Maul to going into the cockpit, the latter of the brothers being quite intelligent, and being an expert of tactics and luring people to areas he wants to go to. Ventress is extremely adept at luring foes to areas that she desires and would place her into advantageous positions.

Ventress beats the absolute shit out of about a dozen elite Shock troopers.

Ventress uses the environment to her advantage.

Ventress and Kit Fisto move in a blur:

“The two leapt and swerved, collided and bounced away. Single against double lightblades. Hands, knees, feet, all in a mind-numbing blur.”

This is extremely impressive considering Kit Fisto’s highly impressive speed feats. First, these are the speed feats of the JK Droids:

“Jangotat threw himself to the rear, firing as he did, riding it out and rolling backward, coming to his feet in a single smooth motion, turning in the same motion, switching his rifle to maximal energy pulses. Too fast! The JK was a marvel, zigging this way and that, its narrow treads blurring far too quickly to track. Three shots, four. The rifle’s barrel pulsed white as its blasts furrowed walls and floor, always missing the skittering machine.”

A JK droids moves faster than an experienced clone trooper can react. ^

“More than superb: it had been perfect. What kind of programming made such precision possible? Obi-Wan could swear that the aim had been almost precognitive, almost …

But there was another aspect of the affair that most eyes had missed, a strange phenomenon that had manifested first with the trooper, but seems even more pronounced with Kit Fisto: the JK had anticipated the Nautolan’s responses."

Proof the JK is precognitive, or at least very close to it. ^

“They watched a replay. “Fast,” Nate said. “As a Jedi?” “Faster,” Forry said. “But speed isn’t everything. Look at this …” He hit other controls. The footage of a Jedi with protruding head tentacles appeared. “From Glee Anselm,” Nate said. “Don’t see many Nautolans around. Jedi, eh?” “Who else would use one of those archaic light sticks?

In some ways his tactics weren’t that different from those attempted by the trooper, but the results were impressively superior. “Beat it.” “Umm-hmmm.” Forry clucked admiringly. “Did you see that timing?” “Uh-huh. Never seen reflexes like that, either. You’re right: the machine was faster, but it didn’t make any difference.”

JK droids moves faster than Fisto. ^

“The sand tendrils were within centimeters of their target before Kit sensed them. His lidless black eyes grew wider still as the sand erupted. A stalk snaked around his foot, trying to yank him onto his back. Other vines raced to assist the first group. The onlookers gasped in amazement as they realized that they were about to see the unthinkable: a mere droid defeating a mighty Jedi! But Kit was far from vanquished. As if he, too, had merely been playing a game, he crouched and leapt forward, spinning on his body’s vertical axis like some kind of carnival acrobat, surging directly at the JK.He rode the JK’s yanking motion instead of fighting it, slipping between the tendrils, the Nautolan’s sense of timing faster and more precise than conscious thought.

Whatever its powers, the droid had not anticipated such an assault, nor could it adjust in time. It released him and retreated up a step, all tendrils lashing at the Jedi. Kit’s lightsaber rained sparks. Tentacles flopped onto the sand, some of the larger pieces twitching, more like separate creatures than severed limbs. The Nautolan hit the sand, rolled, and bore in again instantly, his face tightened into a fighting snarl.”

Fisto being badass. ^
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, basically Ventress matched the speed of a Jedi that could move faster than conscious thought and could defeat an extremely fast, precognitive droid. So, yeah, Ventress is fast as fuck.

Okay, that’s basically all (I think) for my opening statement. I probably forgot a lot of stuff, but whatever. I’m very much looking forward to the coming debate!...

Post by Emperordmb Tue Apr 14, 2015 8:26 pm

It is my conviction that Raskta Lsu is the greatest martial combatant of the four characters present in this match-up, and that is part of the position that my team will be arguing, ie. the position that Raskta Lsu and Jax Pavan would defeat Asajj Ventress and Ferus Olin in a two versus two team fight. My opening post for Raskta Lsu may not be as long as some of the other opening posts, but that is mainly because I only have two direct sources to work with as far as Raskta Lsu goes, with every other source I use in this debate being something affiliated with her, ie. opponents, contemporaries, specializations, general information, stuff on the other characters, etc. With that in mind, let’s begin.

Asajj Ventress (King Joker) & Ferus Olin (Fated Xtasy) vs. Raskta Lsu (Emperordmb) & Jax Pavan (Wildbantha88) Raskta_Lsu

Raskta Lsu was the greatest Jedi duelist of her time in the entire Galaxy, her time being the end of the New Sith Wars, and the start of the Ruusan Reformations. An Echani and a Jedi Weapons Master, Raskta Lsu devoted her entire life to mastery of physical combat, and the ways in which the Force could be used to hone her skills. In doing so, Raskta Lsu transformed herself into a living weapon of the light, a fearsome figure to behold on the battlefield, a warrior with unparalleled mastery of her blades, the greatest duelist and martial artist in the Jedi Order, and one of the handful of Jedi to ever have the rank of Jedi Weapons Master conferred upon her.

Best Jedi Duelist of her Time:
Jedi Weapons Master:

Raster Lsu is a noted master of multiple styles, seamlessly transitioning between them in the heat of combat. Given her extreme devotion to martial combat, the forms that tie into dual blade fencing, her familiarity with more exotic weapons, her mastery of multiple forms (one of them implicit to be Juyo, which requires mastery of a few other forms first), and the elements of the seven forms of lightsaber combat I can observe in her combative technique, it is very likely that Raskta Lsu was a master of all seven forms of lightsaber combat, and even if not, still has a wide variety of forms and strategies to employ in the heat of the moment. This grants Raskta a great deal of versatility, and a knowledge base upon which to understand her opponents’ own fighting techniques. She also has a broad familiarity with weaponry. She is, obviously, intimately familiar with the standard lightsaber. As Sarro Xaj’s master, Raskta would also be intimately familiar with a saberstaff. Her familiarity also extends to curved hilt lightsabers, given that she was the one who pointed out the curved hilt to Farfalla so he could adapt to it. And, as a dual wielder herself, Raskta Lsu is clearly familiar with the application of dual blades. Ferus Olin wields a standard lightsaber, and Asajj Ventress wields paired curved hilt lightsabers, which can either be dual wielded or as a saberstaff. All of these lightsaber types fall well within Raskta’s area of understanding, and thus she won’t be caught off guard by either of her opponents’ arsenals.

Raskta Lsu is not only a Jedi, she is also an Echani, sharing her species penchant for physical combat. She possessed the physique of the Echani, and their valuing of physical combat as the highest form of art and personal expression. The Echani martial art also involves a certain tactical foresight, bred from their intimacy with personal combat, and no doubt strengthened by Raskta’s own force senses, which would be devoted to her skills in physical combat. Such foresight and tactics would also greatly supplement her other abilities, such as her tactical decisions of how to apply her versatility, her responses to her opponents’ attacks, her ally, etc.

Echani:

Her abilities really came into play during the Battle of Ruusan, where she was remembered for carving swaths of destruction through the heart of the enemy ranks, and killing as many Sith Lords as the Thought Bomb. (It should be noted here that “Sith Lord” is the rank of the most powerful Sith in the entire brotherhood, not a toss around term.). This would obviously require great speed, endurance, defensive and offensive coverage, adaptability, and of course skill.
Ruusan:

Now, given that this is a team battle, Raskta’s teamwork capabilities are certainly something to be addressed. In combat, Raskta Lsu managed to use the presence of a clumsy duelist, who had gotten in the way of Sarro Xaj, to her own advantage, working in perfect conjunction with him. Given that her partner here is Jax Pavan, rather than Johun Othone, her teamwork would certainly be more effective here, particularly since Jax’s two main forms are Makashi and Ataru, two forms noted for their grace and elegance, as well as Makashi being a completely dueling-centric form.

Teamwork:

One aspect of Raskta Lsu that I should probably cover now is her Force defenses. It is true that as a Weapons Master, she is not skilled and specialized towards defending against force attacks. This does not mean however that she is completely and utterly helpless against them. Her force defenses proved problematic against a very powerful Force wielder with more potent telekinesis than anybody in this fight, so that shouldn’t be taken as a sign that she’s complete force fodder. More credible to the point I’m making is her service in combat in the New Sith Wars. Raskta carved great swaths through the heart of the Sith ranks and killed as many Sith Lords (the most powerful members of the brotherhood) as the thought bomb itself. Such a feat is something that would be insanely difficult, even with a good force defense. Raskta’s survival indicates that her lack of specialization in Force combat did not lead to failure for her on Ruusan. Furthermore, there are Sith within the brotherhood who specialize in killing targets with the Force, specifically trained to kill force sensitive adversaries. In the entire New Sith Wars, not one Sith Assassin killed Raskta in this manner. Then, it’s also important to note, that even in her duel with an extremely powerful Force wielder, she still demonstrates some way of handling telekinetic assault. When thrown back by a force push, Raskta manages to twist through the air to land on her feat, and she actually survives the Force repulse without injury. So her force defenses are definitely not the most advanced, but they are serviceable to an extent.
Sith Assassins:
Coping:

And there is one last detail relating to the great Raskta Lsu, something vastly impressive for her skills and physical capabilities. She might only be in or mentioned in two or three sources, but she does have…
…:

I am greatly looking forward to this debate, hoping we can all walk out of it with a heightened sense of respect for each of the characters (despite debating against half of them), hoping we all have a chance to develop our skills as debaters, and hoping of course that we have a fun time debating.

Well, i suppose i should do my thing. It is my belief that Ferus and Ventress will win this battle. The team is simply better equipped as duelists, force users and overall abilities. Let’s get started.

Combat Skill.

As a Padawan, Ferus was an exemplary student, the young Ferus did everything that was asked of him “perfectly” and learned all that was taught to him rather easily. This would drive for perfection would extend to his lightsaber training. Even as a Padawan, Ferus’ style was considered “flawless.” Quite impressive for a mere Padawan. Another accolade of note, Ferus, once again as a Padawan, was renowned for strength and agility throughout the Jedi Temple and He was even considered to be one of the best lightsaber fighters in temple. What’s more, Ferus states that he trained under the jedi lightsaber instructor Soara Antana, whose classes are stated to be advanced lightsaber lessons further establishing Ferus as a high tier duelist.

Prestige Lightsaber training::
------------

Flawless blade work and renown::
-----------

Best padawan fighter::
--------------
Even more impressive is how quickly Ferus adapted to using a lightsaber despite spending years(from 24BBY to when Darth vader rises) out of action and without using the Force.

First time using a lightsaber.:

While Ferus has several feats against stormtroopers, there’s one thing i really want to emphasize on. Ferus took on the Grand Inquisitor Malorum. Not only did Ferus defeat the Grand Inquisitor of the Galactic Empire, who was trained by Sidious, but he did it with absolutely no retraining.

Ferus defeats Grand Inquisitor Malorum:
.Ferus’ Lightsaber abilities are clearly above average, as noted several times by Obi-Wan, Anakin, Soara Antana, Siri Tachi and the jedi high council themselves. What’s more impressive is the fact that Ferus is able to perform exceptionally well against several stormtroopers and defeat the Grand Inquisitor without having to learn everything that he forgot by leaving the Jedi Order. This affirms that Ferus’ learning capabilities and actual skill are above what is considered the norm.

Force Powers

While not a Telekinetic monster like Jaden, Ferus has abilities that will no doubt aid Team Ferasajj. His battle mind allows him to work together with his rival, Anakin Skywalker, The Legendary Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the former jedi Master Solace, a complete and utter stranger.

BattleMind with Anakin::

BattleMind with Obi-Wan:

Battlemind/Teamwork with Solace:

Battle-mind allowed the young Jedi Rebel to work incredible well with his Rival Anakin, the Jedi master Obi-Wan(despite years of inaction) and the neutral Jedi Solace/Fy-Tor-Ana. Given that he is an expert practitioner of this ability, I would deduce that our team would greatly benefit from this ability and with Ventress’ ability to work well with a rival like Obi-Wan well that merely boosts our teamwork and synchronization.

While he’s certainly no Lanoree Or Jaden Korr, Ferus’ TK is still very solid.

Using the lesson taught to him by the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, Ferus is able to completely devastate a room:

Here he shoots objects with incredible velocity.:

Tactical Ingenuity.

Ferus is a smart and dirty fighter(giggity) In a manner of moments he’s able to conclude all of Malorum’s strengths and weakness and even his style. As a man who fought in his home planet of Bellassa, Ferus isn’t afraid to use any means to win, including leaving himself open to the enemy and then countering with a physical blow.

Conclusion of Malorum’s fighting style.:

Dirty fighter.:

Feint/Trap:

---------------

Ferus and Ventress are quite like-minded in their combat tactics, they’re not afraid to fight dirty and are tactical fighters in every sense of the phrase. Battle-mind and Ventress’ own ability to work well with Obi-Wan will drastically increase their performance against Jax and Raskta. What’s more their like-minded tactics would benefit them both greatly as both are not afraid to use low blows. Both are fast, agile and master tacticians with powers that will give them both a significant edge against Jax and Raskta. it is my conviction, and that of joker’s, that these two will defeat Jax and Raskta with their superior synchronicity and strategies.

It is time, for Jax-Motherfucking-Pavan! Ladies, prepare your pussies for excessive flooding.

Asajj Ventress (King Joker) & Ferus Olin (Fated Xtasy) vs. Raskta Lsu (Emperordmb) & Jax Pavan (Wildbantha88) 4338759-2523051645-42862

Martial Arts

Something very interesting about studying Jax is that in doing so you get a very clear picture as too what kind of Master, Evan Peill was. Jax was made to study a very wide and diverse array of martial arts and disciplines which gave him an understanding of almost all fighting forms. He has been trained in all sevel lightsaber forms and even studied how to use the lightwhip to great effect. It is my belief that Jar'kai duel blade fencing is also in his arsenal of training but falls under the category of disciplines that he did not favor. What makes me believe that he did not study all of these martial arts of his own accord is that he refuses to actually make use of most of them unless absolutely necessary, as evidenced by him refusing to use a lightwhip, instead opting for a vibroblade. Jax was never stated to be among the best of the students at the temple, but that doesn't need to be stated for it to be obvious. Jax was only made a Jedi Knight a few hours before order 66 and yet, by that time, he had studied all 7 martial arts and was a high caliber master of multiple fighting forms, which is made clear because it is a requirement for studying Juyo, which Jax has studied.

In my own opinion the martial arts Jax mastered were Makashi, and Ataru. Of all the fighting forms at his disposal these were the disciplines that he favored. He fought using speed, agility, and precision. His speed was his most notable attribute, he noted that even without the Force he would have been much faster than Sele, who was a notable Cathar warrior. But Jaxs speed is not his only attribute, he was also a highly intelligent fighter. When facing an opponent who he could not defeat outright he would get creative and lure them into a trap, something he did to both Aurra Sing and Darth Vader. Jaxs raw talent is also considerable and he is easily on par with some of the great masters of the Clone Wars era. Probably the best observation of his talent is when he stalemated the bounty hunter Aurra Sing to the point where the battle became that of attrition. And judging by the people she has dueled in the past, this puts Jax as a very skilled swordsman.

Jax uses Ataru to jump circles around the Cathar warrior Sele while wielding a Velmorian flamesword which slightly hampered his martial abilities when compared to him wielding a lightsaber.

Letting out a roar that shook the room, Sele reached for Jax with one huge paw. Though the Cathar was faster than one might expect for a creature of such bulk, Jax was considerable more nimble. Dodging to his left, he drew and activated the Velmorian flamesword in a single motion.

The Cathar paused for a moment at this unexpected move; he was, however, completely confident in his ability to subdue any interlopers. Given his strength and size, it was an assurance not misplaced.

But he had, in all probability, never faced a Jedi before.

Sele drew a poniard as long and heavy as the Jedi's leg. Ducking beneath a swing powerful enough to decapitate a reek, Jax leaned forward in a long thrust that sent the tip of the flamesword through the Cathar's fur and a centimeter deep into his thigh. Howling, the bodyguard stepped back and swatted at the smoke rising from his singed fur. When he looked up again, his expression by itself was enough to paralyze a typical opponent.

Now I remember the significance of the headband, Jax thought. It signifies him as the mightiest warrior of his clan. It figures.

Rushing forward, Sele brought the weighty blade of the poniard down in a swipe that would have cut the Jedi in two from crown to crotch―had it landed, which it did not. Dodging right this time, Jax feigned with the flamesword. His adversary sidestepped left; Jax whirled, leapt with the Force's aid, and brought the Velmorian weapon down. Flinching, Sele managed to block the blow, but the overflow from the sword seared a black streak across his right shoulder. For a second time the Cathar howled in pain.

Though he had lightly wounded his opponent twice now, Jax knew that Sele had to land only one of his substantial blows to win the fight. He continued his strategy, using the Force to keep him out of his foe's reach while letting the laws of physics work in his favor. At his mass and size, there was simply no way the Cathar could move as quickly or as nimbly as Jax, even without the Force's aid.

At last, smoldering like a house afire from more than a dozen slashing wounds inflicted by Jax's flamesword, Sele had no choice but to acquiesce to his opponent. The hulking creature bent one leg and bowed his head. He laid the poniard on the floor between them. "By the rules of the Blood Hunt," He said in a throaty growl. "I surrender to you all that I own and all that I am."

Jax stalemates Aurra Sing and then outsmarts her

Jax landed on his side, rolled, and came to his feet in a single motion, letting the Force do most of the work. At some point during the move he activated his lightsaber, though he couldn't have said when. The blade―crimson, a remote part of his brain noted―boiled out to its full length in a heartbeat.

Then he was on his feet and facing Aurra Sing.

Though he'd never met her before, her appearance left him with no doubt of her identity. He would have little room for doubt in any case, because her blade was already whistling towards him. It was a green blade, and its glow painted everything the same shade of corroded brass. Everything, that is, except the Twi'lek's green skin―that it rendered the deep gray-green of ripe chee nuts.

Jax had just time enough to register that Lanarth was either grievously wounded or already dead, and that she was directly in the path of the blade's second downward arc, before he lunged in a desperate attempt to block it.

He did, but just barely. The clashing blades crackled, the air rent with ozone, and the two lightsabers rebounded. Sing's blade had been deflected just enough to miss Lanarth. It sheared through the suspended floor of the elevated walkway, cutting supports. Jax backflipped and came down on the still-supported section, his lightsaber ready for another attack.

Behind him, his comrades fell into the abyss.

No time for even the briefest reactions, as Aurra Sing was leaping at him again. Several meters below, an emergency-response tractor field automatically activated by the disintegration of the corridor caught his tumbling companions. They would slow-fall, but he wouldn't have time to watch, he barely had time to breath. She rained down on him a fury of blows almost as vociferous as the oaths and curses that accompanied them.

"Fear me. Jedi! I am Aurra Sing, Nashtah, scourge of your kind! I haunt your darkest dreams! I drink Jedi blood; I nest in their guts! Your nightmares now have a name, hierophant, and that name is Aurra Sing!"

He felt the Force flowing around her. There was considerable might to it, but it was wild and undisciplined and, as such, difficult to anticipate. He'd never felt anything quite like it, and he'd certainly never heard anything like it.

"You'd be the bounty hunter, then." He said.

Hefting her own weapon, the woman grinned a feral grin at him. Externally, she was beautiful; even without an endocrine advantage, she could give Dejah a run for her credits. What Jax sensed within her, however, utterly obliterated any outward impressions. She had an ugly soul.

"You handle a lightsaber well, prey." Suddenly she leaned forward, and her crimson eyes narrowed. Then rage filled them―or at least, he thought, topped off the last little bit of sanity; it's not like there was a whole lot to begin with―and she snarled. "Where did you get that?" She indicated his lightsaber.

He told her the truth: "An acquaintance sent it to me," He shrugged. " I guess he didn't want it anymore."

She came in, and she was incredibly fast; faster than anyone he had ever encountered. Only the Force allowed him to anticipate her reactions; otherwise he would have surely lost limbs in the first minute of action. It was all he could do to parry the hurricane of blows she threw at him: cut-cut-cut-thrust-diagonal-cut―!

He leapt backward to escape, felt the heat of her lightsaber singe his right foot as it cut through his boot and sliced off part of the heel.

Maybe needling her into loosing control wasn't such a good plan after all...

As he flew backwards, Jax slashed behind him with his lightsaber. A newly installed transparasteel plane shattered under the impact of his lightsaber, just in time for him to sail through unharmed. He landed on his feet on the roof.

In an instant Sing followed. She flew through the opening, eyes narrowed, her arms held wide for balance. Her lightsaber was a viridian shaft in the semidarkness.

She cut downward, hard, so fast! Without the Force, he would have been bisected. Instead, before he could think, his body moved on it's own, wrapped in lines of power. Unbidden, his hand snapped up to block her blade with his. Scarlet and emerald lightning blinded them both momentarily. Coupled with the force of her decent, her strike knocked him backwards again, across the roof construction. He nearly fell off the far edge.

Behind him, several massive automata were hard at the business of demolition and construction. At a comfortable control station somewhere, a supervisory sentient was probably kicked back in a formchair, watching as the gigantic machines did all the work. Would he or she glance at the screen, take notice of the fight amid all the heavy work, set down the inevitable cup of caf and notify security? Would the fight even last long enough for help to arrive?

She came at him again. She was fast, strong, and good, but she was also reckless. She had said it herself; her passion was hunting Jedi, not fighting them. She was used to striking hard and fast, a streak of scarlet in the night. She was used to fighting skilled opponents for any length of time.

Jax kept backing away, parrying, letting the Force completely control him. A wrong move and he would be chopped down. His best bet was to wait, to let her wear herself out before attempting to take her down. Assuming her could outlast her. She was humanoid, but not human; their might be different rules for her kind. He was already certain that her fast twitch muscle percentage was higher than his. He was getting tired, and she seemed as fast and strong as when they'd started.

They were along the machines now. Heavy lifters and composite depositors, link checkers, emitters, and synthesizers whirled and hummed and rumbled around them. Sing continued to push him back, back, always back. Jax went with it. He wanted her to be sure that she was winning.

Maybe she was...

At least she's stopped her diatribe. I was beginning to think she was trying to talk me to death.

"No need to die," she said, as if reading his mind. She threw a fast series of chop attacks, none designed to do major damage, but rather to set him up for the killing stroke.

"Really? What do you think your boss plans to do with me? Buy me lunch?"

"Not my concern, Jedi. Surrender now and maybe we can negotiate something with him. Don't, and I kill you now. An iffy future is better than none, don't you agree?"

She charged in without waiting for an answer, and her attack sequence was to fast for him to follow consciously. The Force answered, its strings manipulating his body like a marionette's, but his body would not be able to keep up much longer. Be blocked, counter attacked, was parried, and ducked just in time as she tried to take his head off.

This was not going well. He needed to do something, and soon, or―

Sing was growing impatient. The blasted Jedi refused to capitulate, even though the Force was all that was holding him up at this point.

She wasn't sure how he'd come upon her lightsaber; most likely he'd had an encounter of some sort with Typho. The particulars didn't concern her―she was intent on getting it back, and she wasn't too particular about how. If it meant prying it from the cold, dead fingers of his severed hand, she was sure Lord Vader would understand. But she wanted this to be over, and soon. Her stamina would outlast most humanoid sentients, but when it faded, it faded fast.

Even acknowledging the possibility of failure was not an option. She would defeat this upstart Jedi. Anything else was unthinkable.

Movement out of the corner of his right eye caught Jax's attention. The energy of their lightsabers clashed and sizzled yet again, and he allowed the blow to send him staggering back toward the activity he had sensed. All he had time for was a quick look.

He couldn't fight any harder. He had to fight smarter.

The machine was a large reposticator, or fabber. It chewed up raw material that looked like sand from a hopper, then laid a sheet of translucent plate onto the roof for a hard, weatherproof coater. The hopper had a safety field that glowed a pale blue, to keep things from falling into the raw-materials bin. Wise, because the fabber would ingest anything that fell into it and resurrect the material into it's extrusion.

A desperate plan popped into his head.

He tried a simple attack, a basic, simple Form II series that he had learned early on. Not really much of a threat; the moves were designed as defense against an opposing lightsaber.

Sing did just that, easily blocking the attack. She laughed.

"A defense unworthy of a padawan? Come on, you can do better than that, can't you?"

"Not really," he said. But all he wanted was a little running room, which the move had given him. He turned, sprinted three steps, and leapt with every bit of the Force he could muster, managing to land on the control bar above the fabber, arms windmilling in a charade of seeking balance―

Sing would be right behind him, he knew; he wouldn't even have time to turn and face her, and she would use the field guarding the raw-materials bin as a step before launching into a lunge that would easily unbalance him from his narrow perch.

He felt for her using the Force―

The flashing red button on the control panel was right next to his damaged boot. Jax waited until he felt Sing land on the field―

Then he stepped on the button.

The field shut off.

Sing screamed as she fell into the churning sand. Her ligthsaber cutting a swath of molten energy through it, fusing sand into lumpy green glass―then was snuffed out as she lost her grip on the hilt.

Sing looked up at him as she sank beneath the sand. It churned while it was sucked into the machine. The last he saw of her was a splotch of red hair.

He turned and started toward a nearby drop-tube, realizing that his friends should have reached the ground by now...

As I have just proven Jax is a highly skilled master of the blade. He has training in an extremely wide array of martial arts which makes him more prepared to face them and better equipped to defeat them. Rastka Lsu was able to compliment a clumsy and reckless fighter with her own form, so while fighting beside a duelist as highly trained, skilled, graceful, and precise as Jax, she will be able to feed off Jax's form and they will make a highly effective and synergistic fighting duo.

Force Powers

You thought you were in the clear because you made it through Jax's martial arts section without orgasming all over your keyboards, but, ladies, we haven't even gotten to the best part yet Wink

Asajj Ventress (King Joker) & Ferus Olin (Fated Xtasy) vs. Raskta Lsu (Emperordmb) & Jax Pavan (Wildbantha88) 4367942-5545788701-42794

The thing that makes Jax such a dangerous opponent is, in fact, not his great dueling capabilities, but instead his vast knowledge and power in the Force. One needs look no further than his Force Scream feat to see the kind of power he is bringing to the table. While his scream feat was brought on by the dark side and is non-combat applicable, it still show cases the power he possesses. The Scream caused the air around him to swirl in a cyclonic manner, ripping even objects bolted to the deck and hurling them around.

Jax's Force Scream feat.

In the moment the door of his quarters hissed shut behind him, the ravenous need swarmed, swamped him, roared to be free. He let it, giving vent to a wild scream of alien passion. The room around him exploded in a cyclonic whorl of motion, sound, and violence. Whatever was not fixed to the decking or walls came loose, blown to the upper bulkhead. Whatever was fixed followed mere seconds later.

As swiftly as it had come, the tidal wave of emotions surged out again, leaving Jax empty in the center of his ruined cabin.

But lets look at something more tangible. The following is a combat application of TK done by Jax.

Jax throws bolted down objects while lightsaber dueling

He(Jax) pelted his adversary with small objects—anything that wasn’t bolted down, and a few things that were.

Here in a very impressive display of power, Jax blasts away a large chunk of wall

Jax spun, thrusting with both hands. The barred window exploded outward over the street below, taking a large chunk of the wall with it.

But Jax's best showing of TK is when he picks up and throws a shuttle.

Jax Force-grabbed the first thing he could find—a discarded length of shielding from a nearby shuttle under repair—and flung it at the Dark Lord. When Vader whirled out of its way, Jax followed it by wrenching the entire shuttle off its repair struts and tumbling it onto the Sith.

Another thing is that Ferus always seems to be angry in his best displays of Force power, which would go against his very own criticism about fighting with emotion. But Jax has no such hampers and can use the Force to great effect no matter what his emotional state.

Jax also taught himself the ability of Force Concealment. Through it he can have his Force signature replicate that of simple tree or a dark side holocron. The most impressive thing about it is that he received no training in this art and simply discovered it on his own.

Jax discovers the ability

He had discovered on his own the ability to wrap his Force signature in the energies and colors of disguise. Now he wished he know how to take that principle further. Was it a form of psychometry, perhaps?

When he had touched the inquisitor, Tesla, he had first imagined himself passing through the miisai tree, wrapping the ribbons of its life force around him, clothing himself in them- or perhaps mimicking them. He honestly wasn't sure which - if either - was the reality. He knee only that he had projected something "other" into the station - something that was not entirely Jax Pavan.

But Jax's greatest weapons come from the knowledge he unlocked from Darth Ramage's holocron. Through it he gained powers that many Jedi and Sith have never even heard of, let alone witness. He gained the ability to Tunnel, cast Illusions, and Manipulate time.

Jax's illusions are top tier and extremely potent. Using Illusions he has fooled dozens of Inquisitors, space stations of storm troopers, and has shown the power to disguise entire starfighters. Jax highly favors his illusions and tends to use them often in combat (not good for your team). He has even shown the ability to maintain his illusions even when Darth Vader is actively trying to dispel them.

Jax creates the illusion of a large asteroid.

When the ship overflew his position, Jax tried his hand at Force projection: a swiftly spinning chunk of ice and rock the size of a long-range shuttle seemed to ricochet out of the orbit of the larger asteroid field and tumble into the corvette’s path, causing its helmsman to brake tens of kilometers early.

Pacing the corvette, Jax brought the Aethersprite into contact with the keel of the Imperial ship so gently that he doubted the contact had even registered on the ship’s systems. A moment later the larger vessel raised its shields, enfolding Jax within them as it dived into the asteroid field.

Perfect. Now even the most sophisticated sensors would read the energy profile of his ship as part of the output of the corvette. The trick now was getting onto the station.

Jax fools several inquisitors with a projection of Darth Vader

Jax took a deep breath, steadied himself … then whipped around to face the turbolift. The doors slid open and Darth Vader stepped out into the corridor, turning his insectoid gaze on Jax.The Inquisitor reacted by deactivating his blade, bowing his head, and backing hastily away.

That was all the time Jax needed. He gave the projection of Darth Vader a final surge of the Force, enough to hold it together a moment longer as he turned, vaulted over the stormtroopers, and raced away down the corridor.

Jax fools Probes Tesla with a duplicate of himself

"This is impossible,” Tesla said. “You’re … you can’t be here. You’re—”

“Dead?” the Jedi asked, then shook his head. “Sorry, no.”

“You were up on the detention level.”

“No.” Pavan’s face lit in a slow smile. “He was.”

Tesla shifted his eyes momentarily to where the Jedi pointed. A second Jax Pavan—identical to the first—stood in the intersection of two corridors, lightsaber gleaming in his hand. The instant of distraction was enough; when Tesla turned back, the real Jedi was mere paces away, his lightsaber already in deadly motion.

Jax can also manipulate the currents of time. Although this a very strenuous it does have battle applications. Jax can slow down time in the middle of combat, as he did against Darth Vader.

With a supreme effort of will, the Jedi felt the local time currents around him, stirred them to eddies, then dropped and rolled beneath the fuselage of a small shuttle that lay between him and the Aethersprite.

Vader’s next barrage of ordnance was aimed at where Jax had been, not where he had gone.

Jax shot to his feet and pelted toward the Jedi starfighter where it lay tucked behind its Imperial look-alike. He was panting with the effort now, drained by the effort it took to harness so much energy.

On one last note, Jax has great precognition and always sees at least three seconds into the future mid combat.

As usual the Force was at keast three seconds ahead of the moment, warning Jax in time for him to spin his energy blade.

Strategy/Conclusion

As I have just proven Jax is an exceedingly skilled and diverse duelist and an even more skilled and diverse Force Wielder. His style will feed Raska Lsu's own martial arts an the two will make an exceedingly deadly dueling pair, but if that is not what will win the match then Jax's Force powers will. While we are attacking you simultaneously with lightsabers, Jax will throw heavy objects at your team without even breaking off his lightsaber combo. He will also cast Illusions and make it appear that there are multiple version of Jax and Raska attacking you at once. In the end you loose because our team can at the very least match you in a straight up duel when your team is not distracted at all, but we destroy your team while they are being pummeled by flying objects and are distracted by ghosts who aren't even there

While Raskta is indeed a very skilled martial artist and quoted as being the most skilled duelist of her time, we don’t know of many high tier Jedi martial artists of her time that we can compare her to. We also don’t know the circumstances of her fights with the Sith Lords/Assassins she encountered. For example; was she amped by Worror? Did she have backup? Did she nearly die in those encounters? The feat is vague and it's a bit far-fetched to assume she faced assassins without something to fall back on. I'm not saying she didn't face them, I'm just saying that we don't know how a fight between her and these nameless assassins went. Everything there is based on assumption. Ventress on the other hand has done extremely well against foes that would no doubt be above some Sith Lord Raskta has met on the battlefield -- foes such as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Savage Opress, Darth Maul, etc.

Ventress has never needed a broad understanding of multiple forms and does well against opponents that have mastery/near mastery of multiple forms. Her mastery of Makashi suits her well in almost all scenarios and I don’t really think Raskta could bring anything to the table that Ventress would be unfit to deal with. She’s fought Anakin and Kenobi simultaneously who are both specialists of Djem So/Soresu (the best of their respective forms in the era, mind you), Ahsoka and Luminara who needless to say are very different in the way they fight. Also, Ventress defeated Grievous in a one-on-one, who is a master of all 7 lightsaber forms and can analyze and adapt to an opponent. Raskta won’t bring anything to the table Ventress isn’t prepared for.

When it comes to physical combat, though, I don’t think Raskta compares. Ventress was slaughtering Nightbrothers with ease, who are trained from birth and highly value their combat skills, similar to Echani. She has kicked the shit out of elite shock troopers, Maul, Savage, Anakin, and others. When it comes down to feats Ventress just outstrips Raskta. Addressing Lsu’s foresight, her Echani foresight didn’t help her when Zannah snuck behind her. Zannah’s Force cloak should have only clouded Raskta’s Force senses, not her natural precognitive abilities.

Raskta and Jax may very well have great synergy, but Asajj has proven she is a great team player and she worked very well with her arch nemesis Obi-Wan. Add to the fact that Ferus has battlemind they should work well together. And I have a very hard time believing the Brotherhood Sith are even close to Ventress in terms of Force power. Ventress is too dominating and powerful for Raskta, as you can see from the glorious gifs in my first post, and the way she uses it greatly supplements her overall combative skill.

Addressing your point, DMB, about Raskta’s recovery after Bane Force pushed her, well…

”Raskta was already back on her feet and flying through the air toward him. Bane spun and threw a wave of invisible dark side power at her. A Weapons Master was not skilled at defending against enemy Force attacks. The impact of the wave would have plastered her against the wall and crushed her had Farfalla not thrown up a shield to protect the Echani.”

So, one, it states she sucks at defending against Force attacks, and two, she would have been plastered to the wall if it wasn’t for Farfalla’s Force shield.

Ventress is powerful as fuck, so if by some chance Raskta was winning a duel, she’d be utterly fucked by Ventress’ power.

A hugely important thing that should be addressed, is that Raskta was amped by Worror in her duel with Bane, which would have increased her strength, Force abilities, speed, everything. If she was not amped she would have been trampled by Bane very early on, and if it wasn’t for Farfalla protecting her with Force barriers throughout the fight, she likely could not have concentrated fully on her offensive against Bane. Bane also at this point was a very reckless fighter and neglected his defense the majority of the time, which would have made it somewhat easier for Lsu to score hits on Bane. Especially when her speed and strength is greatly enhanced.

Ventress being the smart fighter she is could lure Raskta to areas she desires. Raskta charged recklessly right toward Bane in the beginning of the fight; that’s an opponents Ventress would have a field day with. If Lsu was being a stubborn lil’ girl that day, Ventress could forcibly move Raskta away from Jax with pushes and throws, and then go from there. Also, I’d really love to note that Ventress before being trained by Dooku, snuck up on him without him sensing jack, and killed one of his buddies. After, he taught her Quey’tek meditation which allows Ventress to remain undetected from even the most alert and focused Jedi.

Basically, the game plan for our team is simple. Ventress and Ferus engage y’all, and Ventress leads Lsu away from Jax, and again if she is being stubborn, she will ragdoll Lsu to an area she desires, which would likely be deeper into the jungles. After that Ventress can kill Lsu a multitude of different ways, and then go back to whatever the hell Ferus and Jax are up to. (Filming a porno?)

Anyways.

We know of Lord Hoth, the guy who became a battlemaster and mastered all seven forms of lightsaber combat by his midtwenties. A guy who got swarmed by a sea of enemies, both Sith and soldiers, and cut them down, being described as "unstoppable in his fury."

We know of Master Vaunk, who admittedly has nothing other than mastery of all seven forms, but still.

We know of Sarro Xaj, a man who few enemies could stand against his assault. His offensive was described very impressively.
“In contrast, the big man attacked her from creative and unexpected angles, the massive blue blades changing course midthrust. Each offensive was a model of lethal efficiency-quick and powerful strikes and counterstrikes that kept an opponent guessing.”-ROT
“Grimly, she realized that she'd never understood the true meaning of the term martial arts until now. The warrior assailing her had elevated the act of combat to its purest and highest form. He moved with the fluid grace of a dancer, his monstrous blade singing the deadly song of battle. He executed his moves with a perfect elegance born of obsession.”-ROT
“He came at her again, his blade changing directions so quickly in midstroke that it seemed to bend and curve.”-ROT

1. Considering Hoth has pulled off a feat of slicing through an oncoming horde of Sith and soldiers swarming him, described as unstoppable as he did so, given Raskta's superiority to him, her feat is well within her grasp unamped and unaided, and her superiority to Hoth affords her the wank of such a feat regardless.
2. "Johun vividly remembered her carving great swaths of destruction through the heart of the enemy ranks, leaving a litter of bodies in her wake."-ROT Her carving. Her wake. That sounds very singular to me, which would of course be intentional, given that the point of that quote in the book was to establish Raskta's martial prowess.
3. Assuming an amp where none is even implied is one of those things that pisses many of us off about people on KMC. On that same token, I could say that Ventress was amped by Dathomir when she barely defeated a pre-prime Grievous, but I'm sure as hell not going to resort to that. Furthermore, ROT also notes that Worror's Battle-meditation was small scale in regards to range, and that Worror DOES NOT CARRY A LIGHTSABER. His primary roles on Ruusan also included being an adviser to Lord Hoth, and a healer. You'd have to put him very close to the combat for BM to be viable, and a Jedi with no lightsaber whose going to sit on the ground and meditate, is not somebody you put "in the heart of enemy ranks," particularly since you don't heal people in the heart of enemy ranks, and you don't advise your superiors in the heart of enemy ranks. So, given that, Master Worror was most certainly not present in the heart of enemy ranks.

So as far as this feat goes, she is a superior to a duelist who has achieved a very similar feat, the text implies that Raskta was running solo, and it would be immensely impractical to throw master Worror into the heart of enemy ranks, where Raskta achieved this feat. As such, this feat is well within her unamped grasp.

King Joker wrote:Ventress on the other hand has done extremely well against foes that would no doubt be above some Sith Lord Raskta has met on the battlefield -- foes such as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Savage Opress, Darth Maul, etc.
Oh I'm certainly not arguing that the Sith she fought on Ruusan are superior to the opponents you have listed above, but she also faced them in far greater numbers. You have to remember, Savage Opress and Darth Maul were driven off by the superior numbers of Weequay pirates, and Maul lost one of his legs to one, and Obi-wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker were captured when outnumbered by Zygerrian slavers with stun whips. Hell, even Ventress herself was overwhelmed by the blasterfire of several battledroids on Korriban. Now, I'm not going to flat out say that this makes Raskta Lsu better than everyone Ventress has fought, but given that pairs of Ventress's impressive opponents have been beaten by the superior numbers of opponents that did not include Force sensitives, and that Ventress herself has fallen prey to this as well, Raskta's feat of carving swaths of destruction through the heart of Sith ranks and leaving a litter of bodies in her wank is not something that should be taken lightly or underestimated.

I'm not arguing that there is a form Raskta has that Ventress will be unprepared for, or that there is a form Ventress is going to magically suck against. I'm arguing that sheer versatility and a breadth of knowledge isn't something that should be discounted, and is something that would be useful in battle. The breadth of Raskta's knowledge provides her with more offensive and defensive options, making her a more adaptable duelist, and giving her more tools with which to respond to a given situation or circumstance in lightsaber dueling. This is compounded by her Echani capabilities, and the variety of opponents with varying skillsets in this fight. Thus, with each opponent possessing a wide array of abilities and skills as duelists, Raskta's broad set of knowledge, and capabilities as an Echani would allow her to best adapt to the techniques and strategies of both her opponents, and her allies, far better than anyone else in this fight could do so. And once again, being the most versatile duelist with the widest array of techniques, she has the most options with which to respond to these techniques and strategies.

King Joker wrote:When it comes to physical combat, though, I don’t think Raskta compares. As far as the nightbrothers go, Ventress had a definite advantage in speed over her opponents, given her training at the hands of Dooku, which provides her with greater physical augmentation than they would possess. Furthermore, the fact that these Nightbrothers had not gone through the Crucible (the three tests Ventress made them go through), they were not yet fully fledged Nightbrother warriors.
"Those worthy to become warriors or assassins must be tested to prove their skill. In the arena of the Crucible, the candidates for face three tests- the tests of Fury, Night, and Elevation. Any who fails a test will be eliminated."-Book of Sith: Wild Power.
Nightbrothers are also described as "Simpler" and "more beast like" than the nightsisters (also in Book of Sith).
The Echani value "physical combat as the highest form of art and personal expression," as well as having their own hand to hand martial art, the echani martial art. Raskta Lsu, as an extremely talented Jedi duelist with remarkable physical capabilities has physical augmentation surpassing that of the Nightbrothers, and certainly skills and augmentation surpassing clone troopers. Raskta Lsu has made use of physical combat techniques before, scissorkicking Bane's legs out from under him and toppling him over. Furthermore, her masterful use of acrobatics, and description as being a living weapon, and physique reflective of the Echani value placed on combat, show that she does indeed possess a mastery of her own body as well as her lightsaber. Now of course she does not have the quantity of physical combat feats Ventress does, given that she has only appeared in two or three sources rather than over eighty, but her shown ability demonstrates that she would, at the very least, be able to hold her own against Ventress's occasional implementation of physical combat.

King Joker wrote:Addressing Lsu’s foresight, her Echani foresight didn’t help her when Zannah snuck behind her. Zannah’s Force cloak should have only clouded Raskta’s Force senses, not her natural precognitive abilities.
It was far more than a simple force cloak, it was a spell of concealment. Zannah's spells of this nature have been known to effect the minds of non-Force sensitives, hiding her beauty from them so she wouldn't draw too much attention (cause she hot as fuck), and, the power of Zannah's spells of concealment were enough to violently buffet the Huntress when she attempted to look back through time at Bane and Zannah. Simply put, Zannah's spell of concealment is OP as fuck and it shouldn't be used as a detriment to Raskta's echani foresight.

That is a fair point about Ferus's battlemind. Asajj's extraordinary synergy with Kenobi however feels like a point that is being stretched a bit. The implication being made is that working together/having synergy with Obi-Wan Kenobi would be more difficult for her, given their rivalry. I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with that point. At the point at which they teamed up, they were no longer enemies, and Ventress's dialogue prior to that fight shows that she holds a certain level of respect for him ("Kenobi, don't tell me someone's finally knocked the fight out of you!"). Even as enemies, many of their duels held certain pseudo-romantic themes. But perhaps the most important part of how their past rivalry would effect their teamwork is the fact that, since they have fought so many times in the past, they would be intimately familiar with eachother's fighting styles. As such, Ventress's teamwork with Kenobi would not be beneath what she could attain with most other people, it would be above that given their familiarity with eachother's fighting styles, something she does not have here with Ferus Olin.

King Joker wrote:And I have a very hard time believing the Brotherhood Sith are even close to Ventress in terms of Force power. Ventress is too dominating and powerful for Raskta, as you can see from the glorious gifs in my first post, and the way she uses it greatly supplements her overall combative skill.

Keep in mind, Raskta would've been plastered into the wall by the Force power of Darth Bane, someone who eclipses Ventress in telekinetic power. Bane as of his fight with Raskta has destroyed people's bodies, killing them on impact, with waves and blasts of telekinetic energy. He has brought down the Temple of the Ancients, and he has disintegrated dozens of technobeasts with telekinetic waves. Just because Bane could kill Raskta Lsu by plastering her into the wall with TK, does not mean Ventress has the telekinetic power to do the same. She could throw Raskta back with telekinesis sure, but nothing Raskta could not respond to by immediately jumping back on her feet and rejoining the fray.

King Joker wrote:A hugely important thing that should be addressed, is that Raskta was amped by Worror in her duel with Bane, which would have increased her strength, Force abilities, speed, everything.
If Raskta hadn't been amped by battlemeditation for that fight, her superiority over Ventress as a martial artist wouldn't even be in question. Bane didn't defend the vast majority of his body because it was covered in lightsaber resistant orbalisks, which reduced the area of viable targets for her blade to his face, something Bane still utilized defensive lightsaber techniques to protect, given that it was not protected by his orbalisk armor. Now, Raskta was amped for that fight, but the person she was fighting was Darth Bane, and her performance against him was insanely impressive, even considering that she was amped by battlemeditation. At a few points in the duel, she drove him into a retreat on her own, circled him and appeared in various places around his body on her own, and held her ground against Bane's furious offensive on her own.

King Joker wrote:Ventress being the smart fighter she is could lure Raskta to areas she desires.

Bane was the one who charged recklessly at Raskta, and Raskta immediately neutralized his offensive before responding with an offensive of her own, that doesn't sound very reckless to me. She was also unaware of Bane's orbalisks at the time, and it is not stated that she would die without BM, though it was stated that Farfalla would have. She's not just some retard whose going to follow Ventress on a wild bantha chase. Also, given the respective abilities in synergy we have both shown for our teams, I fail to see why the two teams would split up and form two distinctly different fights, especially when Xtasy himself argued teamwork as a point on which your team would defeat ours.

In any case, Raskta Lsu is the most viable martial artist in this fight, and when paired with Jax Pavan's unusual and esoteric force abilities that my partner will cover, Jax and Raskta will fight as a team, and they will ultimately prevail against Ferus Olin and Asajj Ventress.

I’d like to address these points before I continue with my argument against Jax.

Emperordmb wrote:It was far more than a simple force cloak, it was a spell of concealment.

So a Force user’s Force powers can affect non-force sensitives? wow did not know that. Razz

Joking aside. Didn’t Zannah actually have, you know, something she didn’t when she was having her first ever battle during that time. Time. Even in Rule of Two she is stated to still have short lapses in her force cloak ability with time, yet with time and in an environment where she’s not fighting someone as intimidating as Sarroj, she was able to fool the temple, While in battle, she only “masks her presence” according to the two passages that follow each other in that scene. I’m not really sure if the RoT book states she concentrated on that spell on Ambria, but if i’m wrong lemme know.

Wildbantha88 wrote:Jax was never stated to be among the best of the students at the temple, but that doesn't need to be stated for it to be obvious. Jax was only made a Jedi Knight a few hours before order 66 and yet, by that time, he had studied all 7 martial arts and was a high caliber master of multiple fighting forms, which is made clear because it is a requirement for studying Juyo, which Jax has studied.

I’ll concede that one doesn’t need to be wanked in order to be good. that said Ferus as a padawan was stated to be revered amongst his peers and the Jedi Council. During the events of Master of Disguise. He was even regarded as the “Best Padawan fighter in the temple.” Another thing i’d like to not is that Ferus  was going to be made a Jedi Knight during the Jedi Quest: Final Showdown novel, it was the council’s decision, and that of Obi-Wan’s, that Ferus be made a Knight as part of an acceleration program. In fact even the essential chronology refers to him as a Jedi Knight. So rank hardly matters in this case, i’d say.

In my own opinion the martial arts Jax mastered were Makashi, and Ataru. Of all the fighting forms at his disposal these were the disciplines that he favored.

Ferus himself is a practitioner of Ataru, Juyo and perhaps Soresu/Shien and/or Makashi. I doubt Jax will surprise him with anything else.

He fought using speed, agility, and precision. His speed was his most notable attribute, he noted that even without the Force he would have been much faster than Sele, who was a notable Cathar warrior.

Impressive, however Ferus has moved incredibly fast despite years of inaction and the fact that he was past his physical prime.

Again, Ferus has been able to mesh well with someone he completely dislikes(Anakin.) With a Jedi Master whose style changed drastically after AOTC, and with a complete stranger who worked better alone and while Ferus was tired. Yet despite that, He and Fy-Tor were able to make litter of droids in “seconds.” This will compliment Team Ferasajj nicely

Ferus was able to build up his anger and unleash it in a scream. He called on it, it was, oddly enough, not brought on by an emotional event. Therefore it may be combat applicable, unlike Jax’s.

Another thing is that Ferus always seems to be angry in his best displays of Force power, which would go against his very own criticism about fighting with emotion. But Jax has no such hampers and can use the Force to great effect no matter what his emotional state.

Ferus never criticised the emotional use of the Force :\. In fact after the events of Secret Weapon He’s constantly using it, even in Rebel Force. I’d hardly call the use of the dark side a hamper when, you know, Bane has destroyed beings by using it. Not to mention Ferus notes that the Dark Side made him shoot objects at “incredible/surprising velocities”
So him using the Dark Side is hardly a detriment on his Force abilities.

Strategy/Conclusion

but if that is not what will win the match then Jax's Force powers will. While we are attacking you simultaneously with lightsabers, Jax will throw heavy objects at your team without even breaking off his lightsaber combo.

When has he done this? And we’re on Yavin, the only thing around us are trees :\

He will also cast Illusions and make it appear that there are multiple version of Jax and Raska attacking you at once.

Interesting, but not fact.  Remember that Inquisitor Tesla was able to see through them after the initial reaction, Ferus has Force senses beyond normal levels(sensing a droid is something not even Kreia could do, even on Malachor) Not to mention that Ferus has used a Sith holocron, which gave him a glimpse into the mind of a sith and made him even more cunning than before. As noted by Vader, Jax’s neglects to give his Illusions life signs, something that Ferus will be able to see through given how easily he was able to sense that Tobin Elad/X-7 was a blank space in the force(Nice to meet you, where you’ve been? i can show you incredible things!... ahem sorry) So his illusions will be easy for Ferus to see through given how he neglects to give his Illusions actual Force Signatures.

In the end you loose because our team can at the very least match you in a straight up duel when your team is not distracted at all, but we destroy your team while they are being pummeled by flying objects and are distracted by ghosts who aren't even there

Not really, Your illusions will be easy for Team Ferasajj to see through as I have already shown. And the idea that Ventress and Ferus will be unable to counter Jax’s Telekinetic abilities is unfounded. Remember that Ventress is a masterful user of Telekinesis and Ferus himself completely destroyed room with his TK. Your strategy has been effectively, nullified Tongue

Our strategy.

Note: This is based on the MOs each character has displayed during their respective battles.

The battle will essentially start with Raskta charging Ventress while Ferus and Jax engage in a slow start battle. Ventress would likely Force Push Raskta away after a fierce engagement and into another part of the forest, effectively cutting them off from their respective partners and engaging it would be a incredible blur of red(or yellow) and blue. This would leave the Last Jedi and The Guardian alone, the two would go back and forth until Ferus gains the edge and forces Jax on the defensive, where the Jedi Knight would finally unleash his Illusions on Ferus, who would be taken aback initially, but thanks to his honed senses he would see right through them faster than Inquisitor Tesla. Once he finds the real Jax Pavan, Ferus will engage him in a lightsaber or Telekinetic duel and finally, Ferus would pull through for the win. As would Ventress.

Though this is but one scenario, I’ve accounted for the other likely one as well.

In this scenario, Raskta and Jax attack simultaneously, Ventress and Ferus would meet their charge, this would likely go on for a long time until, of course, the real battle begins. Ferus and Asajj would coordinate incredibly well and, like in my first scenario, Asajj would Force Push Raskta away from Jax and engage her alone, then best her via superior force power. and Ferus would likewise, emerge victorious.

Why? the answer’s simple. Raskta is vulnerable to Force attacks, this isn’t me saying that any nameless Jedi with a TK feat could “ragdoll” her, this is me saying she’s up against Asajj Ventress a woman who has incredible TK feats and not to mention she’s broken through the Force barrier of Anakin Skywalker and many, many other Powerful Jedi adepts. While dueling wise, Raskta is incredibly skilled, Ventress is likewise just as skilled as her if not more. And Jax? well like wise, Jax is incredibly talented, I rate him quite highly, but Ferus is the superior duelist, while again, i’m not saying that Ferus is going to outright blitz him, there is a clear difference in lightsaber prowess. TK-wise, they’re more or less equal,  But ferus at one point, during his initial Dark Side training, before he accessed the Sith holocron, completely and utterly destroyed a training room with what i could only describe as a Telekinetic storm.  Ferus is simply a better duelist and more powerful Telekinetic. While Jax’s illusions are good and would trick anyone else, Ferus, fortunately, has sense feats that would allow him to see right through them and best Pavan.

That is why, Team Ferasajj would win this, In our opinion. and afterwards, well this'll happen.

Ferus himself is a practitioner of Ataru, Juyo and perhaps Soresu/Shien and/or Makashi. I doubt Jax will surprise him with anything else.

Jax knows all those martial arts and will know how to defend against them. While you are only assuming that Ferus knows those martial arts, or multiple martial arts at all, Jax is confirmed to know all 7 which puts him leaps and bounds ahead of Ferus in diversity and overall knowledge.

Impressive, however Ferus has moved incredibly fast despite years of inaction and the fact that he was past his physical prime.
Jax has reacted faster than light and has kept pace with Aurra Sing who can fight so fast that she is surrounded by a sphere of light. I highly doubt Ferus has any feats that compare to that.

He has criticized it in fact.

But most of all - and this was what Ferus was sure would defeat him - Ferus could feel Malorum's emotion in his style. Anger fueled his attacks. It was a mistake many made. Not a Jedi.

When has he done this?

I already gave you the quote but here it is again

He(Jax) pelted his adversary with small objects—anything that wasn’t bolted down, and a few things that were.

^that was while Jax and Vader were lightsaber dueling

Remember that Inquisitor Tesla was able to see through them after the initial reactio.

Lol Tesla didn't see through his illusions. Infact Jax's illusions worked quite well on Tesla

Ferus has Force senses beyond normal levels(sensing a droid is something not even Kreia could do, even on Malachor)
Jax can one up that. Not only can he sense a droid, he can sense who that droid was with decades before.

Not to mention that Ferus has used a Sith holocron, which gave him a glimpse into the mind of a sith and made him even more cunning than before.
Again Jax has better. He absorbed the knowledge of a Sith holocron and has a literal libraries worth of information floating around his subconscious

As noted by Vader, Jax’s neglects to give his Illusions life signs, something that Ferus will be able to see through given how easily he was able to sense that Tobin Elad/X-7 was a blank space in the force
First off Vader is the ONLY person to criticize Jax for this and just because Vader can identify them doesn't meant Ferus can. Ferus is no Darth Vader.

Secondly Ferus may be able to sense that they don't have force signatures but I doubt the first thing to pop into his mind will be "FAKE!". And Jax can use force concealment to change his own force signature or tunneling to disappear in the Force altogether. (only the object that he is tunneling on can sense him in the Force) Plus Jax doesn't need to make duplicates of himself at all, he can make rocks and branches appear and Ferus will be mistepping on the ground. He can make trees appear to trick Ferus into thinking he is pushing Jax into a tight spot and then BAM! ITS A TRAP! He could change his own appearance to look like Ventress and use concealment to mimic a dark side Force signature.

And Jax is going to have Ventress seeing these illusions too. Which basically means Lsu and Jax have complete control over this fight.

Anyone of these tactics will be highly effective. Ferus will hesitate when he see's duplicates and will loose his footing when he steps on a rock that isn't there or, a rock that is there that Jax made appear to NOT be there, he will be confused and will hold back when Ventress starts attacking him, and will be tricked into thinking he is pushing Jax into an advantageous position when really Jax is just leading him on.

Ventress is going to fare far worse because she has Zero experience with illusions. Jax makes a fake Lsu appear and Ventress will freak out and get cut down.

Its pretty simple really.

Your team tries to divide and conquer but your too busy hesitating and tripping to bring your full strength to bare.

TK-wise, they’re more or less equal
Jax has TK thrown a shuttle. Ferrus lacks and TK showings of that magnitude.

Emperordmb wrote:We know of Lord Hoth, the guy who became a battlemaster and mastered all seven forms of lightsaber combat by his midtwenties. A guy who got swarmed by a sea of enemies, both Sith and soldiers, and cut them down, being described as "unstoppable in his fury."
Seems like a lot of the Sith were novice plebs from reading the excerpt of that, but it’s still impressive.

We know of Master Vaunk, who admittedly has nothing other than mastery of all seven forms, but still.

]We know of Sarro Xaj, a man who few enemies could stand against his assault.

Sarro is pretty cool, and so is Hoth, but I really have no problem seeing Ventress gut all of these people, and frankly, her contending with the Order’s best makes it needless to say she is one of the era’s best martial artists, too. And to me, Ventress’ dueling feats are more impressive than Raskta’s, and I feel like she could handily replicate Raskta’s feats. Her holding her own/stalemating Anakin (see Anakin vs. Dooku on Tatooine), Kenobi, Grievous, etc. is just better in my opinion than holding her own against Bane when amped with quite potent BM.

3. Assuming an amp where none is even implied is one of those things that pisses many of us off about people on KMC. but I'm sure as hell not going to resort to that.
My entire point was is that we didn’t know the circumstances of Raskta beating those Sith. I wasn’t going “RASKTA WAS AMPED 24/7 SHE CAN’T DO SHIT!” There’s a difference. Anyways, I concede the Worror point (which wasn’t even really a point, honestly.)

I could say that Ventress was amped by Dathomir when she barely defeated a pre-prime Grievous
How pathetic of her. Rolling Eyes It’s not like this “pre-prime” Grievous hasn’t killed hundreds of Jedi or anything, or annihilate Council masters.

Asajj Ventress (King Joker) & Ferus Olin (Fated Xtasy) vs. Raskta Lsu (Emperordmb) & Jax Pavan (Wildbantha88) 4228624-killed+hundreds+of+jedi

Ventress has faced three Jedi Knights simultaneously with basically no effort, her opponents skill facing off against multiple opponents is kind of irrelevant when in single combat they could hold their own against high tier combatants. Kenobi when fighting the Zygerrians was tortured previously, and Anakin was completely surrounded facing opponents all wielding shockwhips. And I’m not really sure if Anakin is even familiar with those types of weapons, anyways. Maul was shot because of his shitty chicken legs and that’s that. He’s proved he can handily take on multiple Jedi opponents. And, uh, when was Ventress overwhelmed by blaster fire on Korriban? (Moraband I Win )

I'm not arguing that there is a form Raskta has that Ventress will be unprepared for, or that there is a form Ventress is going to magically suck against. I'm arguing that sheer versatility and a breadth of knowledge isn't something that should be discounted, and is something that would be useful in battle. The breadth of Raskta's knowledge provides her with more offensive and defensive options, making her a more adaptable duelist,
None of that helped Grievous. I Win And even Ventress not having multiple forms under her belt or any species advantage, she is still a more adaptable combatant than Raskta, let’s not get carried away now. :/

She had the definite advantage of literally everything, not just speed, and Ventress still has a speed advanatge of Raskta anyways, too. And even if they weren’t fully fledged Nightbrother warriors, they were the heads of their tribes, so they must’ve been some of the most skilled there.

She scissorkicked Bane’s legs out from under him when his back was to her and he was focusing on Farfalla. And I don’t see how her being an Echani makes her near Ventress as a combatant. Ventress having a wide range of experience in physical combat and Ventress being an analytical, adaptable fighter should have her figure out Raskta’s Echani martial arts quickly. I’ll concede Raskta could hold her own against Ventress is physical combat, but I don’t think every time Ventress goes for a quick jab or kick she’ll be entirely successful in countering.

Asajj's extraordinary synergy with Kenobi however feels like a point that is being stretched a bit. The implication being made is that working together/having synergy with Obi-Wan Kenobi would be more difficult for her, given their rivalry. I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with that point. At the point at which they teamed up, they were no longer enemie
That’s completely false. Asajj still hates the Jedi, and she has committed countless war crimes. Kenobi would have tried and capture her and bring her in when he got the chance. Except Ventress would have kicked his ass if he tried, so he literally couldn’t.

and Ventress's dialogue prior to that fight shows that she holds a certain level of respect for him ("Kenobi, don't tell me someone's finally knocked the fight out of you!")
So what?

Even as enemies, many of their duels held certain pseudo-romantic themes.
Sarcasm.

Good thing Ferus is with her, who has worked exceptionally well with people he despised, and complete strangers. And the same could be said for Raskta and Jax, right? They don’t know each other, either. Ferus’s teamwork feats + Ventress being awesome + battlemind > Raskta’s ability to work with teammates well. At the least they could be just as effective as Lsu/Jax, but I think the battlemind tips the teamwork edge in our favor.

I’m well aware Ventress is eclipsed by Bane in telekinetic power, that wasn’t my point. You were saying Raskta had a way of handling a telekinetic assault, and used Raskta landing on the ground unharmed as evidence. Except she only managed that because of Farfalla protecting her with a barrier, and would have died. That shouldn’t be misconstrued as evidence she can handle TK when it’s made very clear throughout the fight she cannot.

She could throw Raskta back with telekinesis sure, but nothing Raskta could not respond to by immediately jumping back on her feet and rejoining the fray.
Maybe the first couple times. Until Ventress injures her, or Raskta tires. Then, not so much. Or what if Raskta angers Ventress somehow? Ooh, that wouldn’t be good for anyone. I Win

Bane didn't defend the vast majority of his body because it was covered in lightsaber resistant orbalisks, which reduced the area of viable targets for her blade to his face, something Bane still utilized defensive lightsaber techniques to protect, given that it was not protected by his orbalisk armor.
Raskta was striking Bane in areas he wasn’t even attempting to defend, that’s my point. And in my opinion the main reason she was able to neutralize his offensive was because the BM increased her speed and strength, two major things you’d need to do such a thing. Also, I don’t think she could have committed herself 100% to her offensive if Farfalla wasn’t there to save her ass from getting tossed around. He was there charging up barriers for her.

Bane was the one who charged recklessly at Raskta, and Raskta immediately neutralized his offensive before responding with an offensive of her own, that doesn't sound very reckless to me.
They both charged at each other at the same time, to be honest. Raskta would probably charge at Ventress in this duel as well I’d imagine, and Ventress would totally take advantage of that.

and it is not stated that she would die without BM, though it was stated that Farfalla would have.
”Raska's blue blades flickered too quickly for the eye to see, neutralizing her enemy's initial, wild attack then landing half a dozen lethal blows to his chest and abdomen. But instead of toppling, the big man kept coming, never even breaking stride. He would have plowed straight into Raskta, trampling her under his heavy boots, had she not cartwheeled to the side at the last possible instant.

Without BM she would have been trampled.

She's not just some retard whose going to follow Ventress on a wild bantha chase.
Ventress is pretty smart, though. And Ventress’ tactics are subtle, something Raskta probably wouldn’t even realize when trying to engage her.

Also, given the respective abilities in synergy we have both shown for our teams, I fail to see why the two teams would split up and form two distinctly different fights, especially when Xtasy himself argued teamwork as a point on which your team would defeat ours.
Because that would be the best strategy for our team. And Xtasy and I are arguing that they fight 2 on 2 for just a little bit (hence our teamwork arguments) and then Ferus and Ventress split them up. It makes sense given Ventress’ thought process and tactics.

But I feel I should elaborate more on Ventress' Force cloak. She has snuck up on Count Dooku and killed a Senator (?) right next to him without him even sensing her. This was before she got any training from him. He later teaches her Quey'Tek, which is an even more advanced form of Force cloak, and allows Ventress to remain undetected even when a Jedi is actively looking for her. What's more impressive about her sneaking up on Dooku is his precognitive feats, (see Dooku vs. Ventress and two of the best Nightsister warriors in the clan while FUCKING DRUGGED) and he is already a compete master of Quey'Tek.

But yeah, Ventess and Ferus totally got this in the bag, peeps. I know you’ll eventually come to your senses.

King Joker wrote:Seems like a lot of the Sith were novice plebs from reading the excerpt of that, but it’s still impressive.
Well they were all good enough to not get shot down, and given Hoth's surprise in another engagement where no Sith Lords were present, it can be inferred that some of the Sith involved were full on Lords. Regardless, dealing with a swarm like that is insanely impressive, but if you don't believe me, take a look at Grievous. The guy got swarmed by a smaller number of Dathomirian zombies, and granted he was missing one of his four arms and emerged victorious from that engagement, but a decent number of the zombies got close enough to climb on him and grapple him.

King Joker wrote:Sarro is pretty cool, and so is Hoth, but I really have no problem seeing Ventress gut all of these people, and frankly, her contending with the Order’s best makes it needless to say she is one of the era’s best martial artists, too.
None of these opponents were indeed at their primes when they fought Ventress. They are all certainly great combatants, hell, Kenobi as of a year before TPM is stated to be one of the best Jedi in the Order, and I'm sure we can all agree TCW Kenobi, TCW Grievous, and TCW Anakin are easily greater than pre-TPM Kenobi. For example, Kenobi's and Grievous's greatest feats as duelists take place after their last engagement with Ventress. As far as Anakin goes, he also improved from the point of his last encounter with Grievous, and his showings against Dooku as a duelist are inconsistent when compared with every other fight he's in, but if you really want to use Dooku to powerscale Ventress, the three duels Ventress has with Dooku herself would probably be better examples.

I'm not entirely convinced Ventress can replicate Lsu's battlefield feats, or Lsu's performance against Bane even if amped.

King Joker wrote:My entire point was is that we didn’t know the circumstances of Raskta beating those Sith. I wasn’t going “RASKTA WAS AMPED 24/7 SHE CAN’T DO SHIT!” There’s a difference. Anyways, I concede the Worror point (which wasn’t even really a point, honestly.)
The quote's usage of singular pronouns, the lack of feasibility for Worror being there, the fact that a confirmed inferior duelist to her has pulled off something very similar, the fact that the entire purpose of that quote was to showcase her own prowess, I'd say that feat is pretty damn applicable for her.

King Joker wrote:How pathetic of her. Rolling Eyes It’s not like this “pre-prime” Grievous hasn’t killed hundreds of Jedi or anything, or annihilate Council masters.

And as many Sith Lords have fallen under Lsu's blades as perished during the thought bomb (and the Sith Lords are the confirmed Sith counterparts to the Jedi Masters).

Not that that was even a point, I was just saying that I could assume an amp, but I wasn't going to. Though, there has been more clarification on your position when making the statement about Worror's BM than was apparent to me when the post had initially been made.

King Joker wrote:Ventress has faced three Jedi Knights simultaneously with basically no effort, her opponents skill facing off against multiple opponents is kind of irrelevant when in single combat they could hold their own against high tier combatants.
Three Jedi Knights doesn't quite compare to the heart of enemy ranks, which apparently includes several Sith Lords (the counterpart to Jedi Masters). Fair point on Kenobi, but as far as Anakin goes, he is a former slave, and seemed to be familiar enough with whip like weaponry to use a whip like weapon in that very fight quite skillfully, and he utilized one against Dooku in the very next episode, plus, those whips were non-lethal, and he had a tortured Kenobi as back-up. One second you say Maul only beat Savage that quickly because of his chicken legs (granted that was before you were reminded of the details of the fight, but you still implied they were an advantage), and the next they are shitty? He did have a good amount of time to get used to said legs, and he also got shot, not once, but twice in that leg. FAHK, Ventress got overwhelmed by blasterfire on Dathomir, not Korriban! And if I may include another example here, Grievous got swarmed by undead nightsisters to the point at which they were able to crawl on and grapple him, even if he did tear them apart. Point being, numbers of that magnitude do matter a lot.

King Joker wrote:None of that helped Grievous. I Win And even Ventress not having multiple forms under her belt or any species advantage, she is still a more adaptable combatant than Raskta, let’s not get carried away now. :/
Is there a pre S4 source that confirms Grievous's mastery of all seven forms? Because all I can find for that are Labyrinth of Evil and Revenge of the Sith quotes, which obviously take place after his duel with Ventress. Even so, the advantages of being more versatile and ability to recognize and adapt to a vast array of forms and techniques would be increased substantially by more combatants on the field, rather than a simple one on one. A two on two makes this advantage more significant, since there are more people to analyze, react, and adapt to.

King Joker wrote:She scissorkicked Bane’s legs out from under him when his back was to her and he was focusing on Farfalla.
If I can shed a little more light on Echani H2H prowess:

“But the Alliance’s enemy in this battle was a master manipulator who wielded media as deadly as an Echani warrior a vibroblade: the one-time Imperial Intelligence Director, Lord Cronal, codenamed “Blackhole.” A former Prophet of the Dark Side and rival to Supreme Prophet Kadann, Cronal was elevated from the prophets’ ranks by Palpatine himself and placed at the head of the HoloNet’s operations. For years, the mysterious agent and Emperor’s Hand held sway over the perceptions of military and civilians alike, keeping them in a tight grip of lies and cowing them with his menacing, phantom-like guise projected via aural-visual holographic “distorter” technology.”-The Star Wars Spy Game: SPIN Declassified

The dude Palpatine put in charge of the Holonet, who was stated to be a master manipulator, had his skill in manipulating the media compared to an Echani's skill's with a vibroblade. Now if I can put this into more perspective, the Echani emphasize unarmed combat substantially over bladed combat.

“Like all Echani, the Thyrsians excel at reading the smallest cues of body language, making them superb fighters. But in other ways they are sharply different: male-dominated rather than female-dominated, dark of hair and skin instead of light, spiritually focused on the sun instead of the moon, and emphasizing bladed weapons and heavy armor instead of unarmed combat.”-Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author’s Cut, Part 2 – Ancient Coruscant

With Raskta's ability to read body language, her skill in H2H, her mastery over her physical body, and her Echani foresight, I don't see why Ventress's occasional inclusion of physical strikes would be too much for her to handle, because remember, this is an engagement where both opponents are armed with two lightsabers, limiting the opportunity to incorporate physical strikes.

King Joker wrote:That’s completely false. Asajj still hates the Jedi, and she has committed countless war crimes.
If that's the case, why did she rescue him, or not immediately try to stab him in the back when they got in the escape pod?

King Joker wrote:Kenobi would have tried and capture her and bring her in when he got the chance. Except Ventress would have kicked his ass if he tried, so he literally couldn’t.
You really think Kenobi was letting that get in his way when Ventress showed up to rescue him from certain death? And again, Kenobi showed no intent of capturing her once they made it into the escape pod.

Clearly Kenobi and Ventress had other things on their minds other than their rivalry, and I doubt two disciplined fighters such as that would've allowed that to substantially harm their combative prowess, in a situation where two Sith want to cut them to pieces.

King Joker wrote:Good thing Ferus is with her, who has worked exceptionally well with people he despised, and complete strangers.
Raskta wasn't exactly overly familiar with Johun either, but she still worked well with him, despite him being a "shit combatant." Point being, I'm not really seeing what Ventress is bringing to the table here teamwork wise. Ferus's battlemind is a factor, but I'm not really seeing how "Ventress being awesome" is a teamwork factor for your duo. Plus, Raskta's echani foresight also has the added bonus of her being able to react well to her enemies, rather than just her allies.

King Joker wrote:I’m well aware Ventress is eclipsed by Bane in telekinetic power, that wasn’t my point. I may not have clarified here. I wasn't saying she could block all of Ventress's TK, just that she won't be as vulnerable as someone with absolutely no force defenses at all. I'm just saying Raskta would be capable of bouncing back from being telekinetically thrown.

King Joker wrote:Maybe the first couple times. Until Ventress injures her, or Raskta tires.
She has fought through the heart of Sith ranks on Ruusan, and she has gotten back up from Darth Bane's telekinetic assaults, I doubt endurance is going to be too much of an issue for her. Plus, when has spamming telekinetic assaults been Ventress's MO?

Raskta is fighting Ventress, not talking down to her like Luminara (she's not very talkative when it comes to her enemies), or betraying the shit out of her when Ventress thought she could trust her like Dooku, and Ventress isn't even familiar at all with Raskta for there to be anything personal between them. The only thing I could see Raskta doing that would have a decent chance of getting Ventress in a bloodlust would be injuring her, but at that point, it's all ogre for Ventress Shrek

King Joker wrote:Raskta was striking Bane in areas he wasn’t even attempting to defend, that’s my point. Raskta only struck at armored areas before she knew Bane was armored, once she understood Bane's armoring, she pretty much aimed exclusively at his face, a relatively small area for Bane to defend.

What else would Raskta commit herself to if Farfalla wasn't there? I don't really see what else Raskta would be doing.

King Joker wrote:They both charged at each other at the same time, to be honest. Raskta would probably charge at Ventress in this duel as well I’d imagine, and Ventress would totally take advantage of that.
Bane charged recklessly, and Raskta raced forward and neutralized his offense before striking him half a dozen times with her own blades, not quite seeing how that makes Raskta reckless, given that it seemed like a calculated assault on her part to me. A person is charging at you recklessly and neglecting their defenses, so you neutralize their assault and strike them. Not seeing how that's a reckless strategy.

King Joker wrote:Ventress is pretty smart, though. And Ventress’ tactics are subtle, something Raskta probably wouldn’t even realize when trying to engage her.
Spamming TK in an effort to get her away from Jax doesn't sound very subtle at all to me.

Given the teamwork of both teams, I sincerely doubt they'd split up. Furthermore, Ferus seems to be the kinda guy who prefers to work as a team, if any of his team fights have shown anything, so I'm not really seeing him splitting up with Ventress, unless Ventress tells him they are going to split up, in which case that would make their plan to split up painfully obvious to Jax and Raskta. Furthermore, Raskta and Jax are unlikely to split up, given how well they compliment each other. In any case, everyone working so well as teams, and then Ventress and Ferus suddenly splitting up just doesn't seem like something that would go unnoticed by my team, particularly with Raskta's affinity for reading body language (the Echani read the subtlest of body changes to IDENTIFY people when their appearances are too similar to do so), and her Echani foresight.

Proof Dooku wasn't aware of her presence? He was impressed yeah, but I'm not really seeing how he wasn't aware of her, seeing as he kinda addresses her without even turning his head. Plus, Jax's tunneling ability is a more impressive form of cloaking than Quey'Tek.

In any case, Jax Pavan and Raskta Lsu have this one under their blades.

Wildbantha88 wrote:Jax knows all those martial arts and will know how to defend against them. While you are only assuming that Ferus knows those martial arts, or multiple martial arts at all, Jax is confirmed to know all 7 which puts him leaps and bounds ahead of Ferus in diversity and overall knowledge.

Assumption? Recognizing a actual maneuver from a form so seldomly taught is not assumption. Ataru, I’d understand if it was Ataru(the damn form EVERYONE uses) But this is Juyo, a form that only a select few individuals were taught.  It’s hardly assumtion when such blatant evidence is in your face dude.

Another Point: Jax trained in these forms. However he didn’t necessarily master them dude, you yourself have stated that Jax’s primary forms are Makashi and Ataru, He has knowledge of the seven forms, this i’ll concede, however that alone isn’t enough to say that “Jax is leaps and bounds ahead of Ferus” Need i remind you that this is a person who managed to defeat a Grand Inquisitor despite years of inaction and not having any retraining with the blade?

Impressive, however Ferus has moved incredibly fast despite years of inaction and the fact that he was past his physical prime.
Jax has reacted faster than light and has kept pace with Aurra Sing who can fight so fast that she is surrounded by a sphere of light. I highly doubt Ferus has any feats that compare to that.

and Ferus kept up with Darth Vader who has moved faster than anyone except Yoda. To put this in prospective, Ferus has seen Mace Windu , Siri Tachi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Soara Antana(who is faster than Obi-Wan and Siri despite the fact that they moved faster than anyone in the history of a planet) as well as Fy-Tor-Ana, who has Fisto level speed as you’ve no doubt seen. Yet, Vader is still faster than them all.

He has criticized it in fact.

But most of all - and this was what Ferus was sure would defeat him - Ferus could feel Malorum's emotion in his style. Anger fueled his attacks. It was a mistake many made. Not a Jedi.

Yeah…. that’s in the fourth book, he embraces the Dark Side willingly later on and even states that he would balance the dark knowledge so as not to fall. :\ Again, this is not a detriment to Ferus’ abilities. Even if it was, this Ferus after Reckoning, so he’s reconciled his connection to the Force and balanced the Dark Side in himself

I already gave you the quote but here it is again

He(Jax) pelted his adversary with small objects—anything that wasn’t bolted down, and a few things that were.

^that was while Jax and Vader were lightsaber dueling

Those are small objects dude. and things that were bolted down. I hardly think he’s going to be throwing boulders and trees while simultaneously dueling Ferus :\

Lol Tesla didn't see through his illusions. Infact Jax's illusions worked quite well on Tesla

Yeah, for a brief moment which is then directly followed by:

Tesla Seeing through Jax's illusions:

Here, Inquisitor Tesla, a normal(perhaps High ranking?) Inquistor sees through Jax’s Illusions without any prior knowledge of Jax or his new found power. Now, if Tesla was able to see through it only based on facts and dot connecting, what’s to stop Ferus Olin, who was able to sense a droid along with several other things and beings, from seeing through these Illusions?

Jax can one up that. Not only can he sense a droid, he can sense who that droid was with decades before.

Since when is Psychometry combat applicable?

Again Jax has better. He absorbed the knowledge of a Sith holocron and has a literal libraries worth of information floating around his subconscious

Of which he’s only used to gain Tunneling and Illusions. Did he become more cunning? genuine question here. Anything else in that Holocron is more speculation than anything to be perfectly honest.

First off Vader is the ONLY person to criticize Jax for this and just because Vader can identify them doesn't meant Ferus can. Ferus is no Darth Vader.

Yeah, and Vader’s inferior, Tesla saw through them without even using Force Sense(nothing during that suggests Force Sense being used there) Again, if Tesla saw them, what’s to stop Ferus?

Secondly Ferus may be able to sense that they don't have force signatures but I doubt the first thing to pop into his mind will be "FAKE!".

In a matter of moments after opening the Sith Holocron he was able to correctly predict every one of Vader’s moves dude, I don’t mean combat wise, i mean in cold, calculated strategy. With that, he’ll, like Tesla, quickly deduce that the Illusion are fake.

And Jax can use force concealment to change his own force signature or tunneling to disappear in the Force altogether. (only the object that he is tunneling on can sense him in the Force)

Yeah, except that Force Concealment isn’t combat applicable.  It’s not like Maris Brood’s force cloak.  and as for the tunneling, it has a drawback dude.

Drawbacks of Tunneling:

The book goes out of it’s way to mention that if Jax’s goes into action mode he will reveal himself to Vaderand his Inquisitors while tunneling/cloaking. So, if you’re going to be sending out duplicates of Raskta/Jax Ferus will easily see through them and upon not sensing Jax(because Jax won’t be able to do Jack while in tunnel mode) he’ll go and help Ventress best Raskta.

Plus Jax doesn't need to make duplicates of himself at all, he can make rocks and branches appear and Ferus will be mistepping on the ground.

Has Jax actually made an Illusion that could physically harm someone? Legitimate question here.

He can make trees appear to trick Ferus into thinking he is pushing Jax into a tight spot and then BAM! ITS A TRAP!

I’m sure Ferus wouldn’t be outwitted by that dude, again, He’s been able to outwit Vader and predict his exact strategies. Being a tactical/dirty fighter like Jax, Ferus will easily see through the ploy because, again, Jax neglects to give his Illusions actual life signs.

He could change his own appearance to look like Ventress and use concealment to mimic a dark side Force signature.

But it won’t be Ventress’ specific Force Signature, Ferus’ battle mind ability allowed HIM to forge a “chain” with Obi-Wan and they were able to work quite well together during the First Last of The Jedi book, in which Ferus is still trying to regain his connection to the Force. So, he won’t be fooled by a Dark Side signature when he would already know Ventress’ own force signature.

Has Jax even done that before? He’s been able to muddle his Force Signature by using a Inquisitor robe(the robe helped a little bit) Again, that isn’t combat applicable.

And Jax is going to have Ventress seeing these illusions too. Which basically means Lsu and Jax have complete control over this fight.

Quite the bold statement lol

Anyone of these tactics will be highly effective. Ferus will hesitate when he see's duplicates and will loose his footing when he steps on a rock that isn't there or, a rock that is there that Jax made appear to NOT be there, he will be confused and will hold back when Ventress starts attacking him, and will be tricked into thinking he is pushing Jax into an advantageous position when really Jax is just leading him on.

I’ve pretty much covered this up top. So, yeah I don’t remember Jax’s illusions causing any physical harm to anyone, if you could provide a quote, I’d appreciate it. I’ve already countered the Ventress signature/illusion argument and Ferus is not inexperienced enough for that tactic to work on him.

Another thing, Ferus’ sense are extremely acute even before his prime in reckoning.

Ferus closed his eyes for a moment. It was sometimes an effort for him to clear his mind, to reach out to the Force. Yet using the Force had to be effortless; he could not try. He could only exist in this moment, not hope for what was to come. He felt in the air the vibrations of the ice, the rock, the molecules of the sky, his own body. They all existed together ill one seamless hum of energy, and from them rose what linked him to everything in the galaxy: the Force.
He felt it gather, and he opened his eyes. Immediately he saw that what he thought was a thick impenetrable curtain was actually a constructed wall. The gorgodons had moved the sheer planes of ice as if it were transparisteel, mimicking the steep slope of the crag for camouflage.
—The Last of The jedi: Dark Warning
This takes place on Ilum before he even regains his lighsaber. So, being so connected to the Force and with such powerful force sense will no doubt grant Ferus an edge against Jax’s illusions

Its pretty simple really.

Your team tries to divide and conquer but your too busy hesitating and tripping to bring your full strength to bare.

I’ll ask you the same question I’ve asked three times already. Has Jax conjured up an illusion capable of causing Physical harm? To my knowledge, he hasn’t so i’m not sure he’s capable of that.

Jax has TK thrown a shuttle. Ferrus lacks and TK showings of that magnitude.

Aside, from lifting a beam with Fy-Tor and after his training he was able to completely and utterly destroy a room with, as i stated before, something i can only describe as a Telekinetic Force Storm. Which you failed to notice it seems.

In any case. Jax is limited here, if he conceals or tunnels, he won’t be able to attack or else he’ll reveal himself. You can argue that he could bide his time, but it won’t take long for Ferus to see through his illusions easily and by then he could simply leave and find Ventress and Raskta, help Ventress corner Raskta and then kill Raskta Zannah style(by masking his presence and coming up behind her) which is something you don’t want.

If Jax doesn’t tunnel and he instead decides to engage Ferus he would lose or at the very best stalemate with Ferus.

in the end our strategy will remain the same. And if you choose to go ahead and spam Illusions we’ll see right through them. Simple as that.

Don't delude yourself guys:
